Required Costume Character Training

Friday Nov. 15th

6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Location:
Albany Public Library
2450 14th Ave SE, Albany, OR 97322

Kids can participate as a character or an elf.

Christmas Storybook Land can be quite cold, so warm costume choices are always best.

Volunteering with friends is fantastic, but they do need to be accompanied by an adult.

Does your child want to play a character?

Children from age 6 through 12 accompanied by an adult are invited to volunteer as roaming elves or costume characters for 9 weekday evening shifts, at the times noted at the left. Accompanying adults are required to accessorize with their child’s costume choice while being with their child. All costumes are provided and weeknight shifts are 3 hours.

A Parent/Guardian Release for Participation signed by a parent/guardian is required for all minors (under 18) as well as online volunteer registration by the parent/guardian. Elves and costumed characters work under the direction of the Costume Character Supervisor.

An orientation for all elves/costume characters is required with parents attending to acquaint you with all the procedures and answer questions so the experience will be fun.
