We have nearly 400 volunteers and 130 sponsors that help to put on our show.
We created this page to be a resource for members of the media. We welcome your questions and can provide you with photo opportunities during our scene creation activities, scene setup day, the show itself, on one of our special children’s tour days, our Seniors, Veterans, & Special Needs Citizens’ Day, or tear down. Our display is open the first full two weeks and weekends of December. In addition, we are open during the day the first week for school children and seniors, veterans, and special needs citizen tours.
We provide a simulated walk through a Christmas lighted forest where you can view a 115 scaled down handcrafted scenes of Mother Goose rhyme characters, fairy tale characters, and family movie characters, some of which are animated. In addition there are two huge train displays, and a Victorian Village and Main Street. At the end of your walk, you reach the North Pole and can visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Kids get a free candy cane!
Our venue is free for everyone, however visitors are encouraged to bring canned food or personal hygiene items for Fish of Albany. Also a new, unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots is gladly accepted.
Through the year, we have nearly 400 volunteers and 130 sponsors that help to make our show the success it is. In 2017 we had over 40,200 visitors, 3,500 children on four School Tour Days, and over 800 seniors on Senior & Special Needs Citizens Day. In 2017 we collected 27,430 non-perishable food items.
