Can you become Santa or Mrs. Claus?
A visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus is the highlight of the Christmas Storybook Land experience for children and adults too!
Each of our 31 scheduled shifts have opportunities to participate as Santa and Mrs. Claus. In addition, there are 10 shifts for our special daytime crew needed for our school tour days and senior citizens and veteran’s tour day during the first full week of December. All costumes are provided and shifts are short—usually 2 to 2 ½ hours.
A candidate for Santa and Mrs. Claus must be welcoming, friendly, and speak and act appropriately at all times. A background check is required of all Santa and Mrs. Claus participants before you are able to sign up for a shift.
An orientation for all Santas and Mrs. Clauses will be held at the Volunteer Sign-up in late October (call Patty 541-327-9511 for date and location) to acquaint you with all the procedures and answer questions so the experience will be fun for all.
If your Background Check has been approved, you can sign up to be a Santa or Mrs. Claus on the volunteer page.
It is important for all “Clauses” to be familiar with the following:
- Santa and Mrs. Claus Guidelines
- Complete and submit background check
- View the Fire extinguisher training video:
-
Santa’s house is the last stop at the event.
-
Some Santas grow their own beard.
-
It’s OK if you don’t have a beard, we can provide it with your costume.
-
Only Santa and Mrs. Claus hand out candy canes.
-
We keep the candy canes well stocked.
-
